Norton Seeley Commando
The bike was purchased in England in the 1990s as a ready-to-race machine. It was raced extensively until 2008. In terms of results, it was often the fastest twin.
I bought it ahead of the 2024 season and did some work on it that made it about 8-9 kilos lighter, weight now is about 135 kg.
I won several races with it in Sweden, Norway and Finland, as well as the 2024 Nordic Championship—which was the goal.
Built for durability; low revs and high torque make for a reliable, easy-to-ride machine.
The engine features a 89mm crankshaft with a steel center section—a Maney replica. It has new connecting rods (installed for 2024), JM pistons, and a camshaft with high lift and short duration, which is my preference. Amal Mk2 carbs, they work so well that I haven't even considered re-jetting.
Boyer ignition with a rev limiter (6,950 rpm), I have alost never revved it to that limit.
Quaife close-ratio 5 speed gearbox and a Commando clutch.
Öhlins rearshocks and steeringdamper
The frame is a genuine Seeley frame, not a replica. It was originally built for a Suzuki T500 engine I think.
A proven race winner, it is not the fastest at the end of the straights but the light bike with all the grunt from the longstroke engine, the handling and the brakes with the Quaife gearbox that never misses makes it a really good package.
It is available for purchase; a fresh paint job would make it look absolutely stunning.
Last year I took the engine apart and it was all okay, I changed the conrodbearings and gaskets and put it togheter again, I have only started it since then.
Price: 9000 euro

I will go to Veterama in October and can deliver the bike there or elsewhere depending of where elsewhere is.
